Following is the 2008 Board Meeting schedule; regular monthly meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of the month as indicated in bold print. Board Study Sessions are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise noted.
All meetings are held at Station 1 in the Berthinier Training Room beginning at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.

The Novato Fire Protection District recently mailed an Wildland Fire/Sudden Oak Death flyer to residents in the Urban/Wildland Interface areas.
The matching grant program refers to a fire fuel reduction program for homeowner associations located in the UWI areas. Homeowners' associations who hire a licensed contractor to perform fire fuel reduction services may be eligible for matching grants.
Grant funds are budgeted at the discretion of the Fire District Board of Directors and are awarded on a first come, first served basis. Recurring requests will be considered after new requests. Grants are capped at $1,500 per request and must be matching. Grants are issued year round and are based on fund availability
The District may provide personnel to perform on-site evaluation and inspection, and can be contacted for consultation. The Novato Fire Protection District does not perform fire fuel reduction services.
Some qualifying, organized neighborhoods may also qualify. Please call the Administrative Offices at 878-2690 and ask for Fire Inspector Jessell.
