The Board of Directors of the Novato Fire District sets policy that is implemented by staff. The Board leads the District by expressing its vision and values through its policies and by inspiring and empowering District employees to become partners in the Fire and Life Safety System. The Board exercises leadership by creating a sense of community with compassion and understanding, coupled with the highest standards of conduct.

The Board has many challenges including declining revenues, a changing workforce and greater public expectations.

The Board is active with other political bodies to achieve collective action to best serve our citizens. The Board of directors takes advantage of and creates opportunities to make a difference for the citizens they serve. 

Farhad Mansourian

Director Mansourian is employed as Director of the Marin County Department of Public Works.  He has served as a Board Member since his election in 2001.  Director Mansourian’s term ends November 2009.

James Galli

James Galli is employed as a Battalion Chief at Kentfield Fire Protection District. His term ends ovember 2011.

Brad Beedle

Director Beedle is a businessman and past Volunteer of the Novato Fire District.  He has served as a Board Member since his election in 1997.  Director Beedle’s term ends November 2009.

Mark Horick

Director Horick is employed as the Assistant Fire Chief of Skywalker Properties.  He was elected in November 2003. His term expires in November 2011.

Lj Silverman

Director Silverman is a retired fire service professional.  He was elected in November 2003. His term expires in November 2011.
